SUSTAINABILITY IN OUR EVERYDAY WORK

Our garments are designed to be versatile - the fact that they are as suitable for work as they are for a late night in town.

By this, we want to reduce the single-use-clothing culture. We want our garments to be your forever favorites.

There are many areas of sustainability: for example environmental-, social- and economic responsibility. We have listed some examples of the aspects that are already included in our everyday work.

 

PRODUCTION, DESIGNING, PATTERNS

Our garments are produced and designed in Finland. The patterns for our garments are also made in our home country.

 

PRODUCTION VOLUME

The production quantities of each garment are very small to minimize waste and surplus. Because of that, we can not guarantee that a once sold out garment will be brought back.

 

HUMANMADE

Our garments are made by skilled seamstresses. By choosing to have production in Finland, we always know who made our garments. You can wear the garments proudly and confidently, knowing that the garment has been produced responsibly.

 

CERTIFICATES

Our fabrics, buttons and labels are OEKO-TEX® standard 100 certified which means they are harmless for human health.

 

MATERIALS

For example, linen is an ecological material, since growing the plant doesn’t exhaust the soil. Flax plant grows quickly, therefore feeding and treating the plant with pesticides isn’t needed. By producing high-quality garments, from high-quality materials, they can be used longer and thereby place less burden on the environment.

 

FABRIC WASTE

Inevitably, some fabric waste will occur from production. All surplus fabric is saved and used for products like our scrunchies.

 

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

In order to enjoy the longevity and quality of our products it is necessary to know the main details and tricks to take care of our items. We will always provide you with the best care instructions for our garments.

 

PACKAGING

We do not pack our garments in separate plastic bags. Each garment is wrapped in recycled tissue paper.

 

RESPONSIBLE PRICING

The price of our products is determined by genuine production costs. Responsible pricing guarantees that we can maintain high quality and sustainable production. Our margins are still lower than the industry standard. You can read more about our pricing here!

 

BODY POSITIVITY

We don’t feel the need to photoshop or modify our models, their faces, bodies or our garments. We are proud of who we are and what we look like. It doesn't matter who you are or how you look, you are always welcome here.

 

TAXES

By buying from Vento, you direct your money to domestic taxation and thereby to the well-being of our country, Finland.

 

TRANSPARENCY

Although we feel like we're on the right path of sustainability, neither we are perfect. We are eager and constantly striving to be more and more sustainable. We want to be transparent and co-operate with our customers.
